
The Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to a fatal multi-vehicle collision involving an entrapment in the Shadow Hills area Sunday.
The call was reported just before 8 p.m. on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway at Sunland Boulevard, according to the department.
Authorities reported seven patients — with one determined dead on scene — and three others transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
Two patients were transported with non-life-threatening injuries and one patient declined transport.
It was unclear if the deceased was the person who became entrapped. Descriptions of the victims were not provided.
