
One person was killed, and another was injured following a shooting in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood of South Los Angeles, police said Sunday.
The shooting was reported in a residential area on Hobart Boulevard near 22nd Street at around 8:15 p.m. Sunday as a shooting victim called 911 and requested emergency services.
Police said the two victims, ages 19 and 25, were standing in front of the house when two suspects pulled up, got out of their car and fired their weapons.
After their bullets struck the victims multiple times, the suspects went back in their cars and ran away, the LAPD added.
One person died from gunshot wounds at the scene. Another person was injured and taken to a hospital in unknown but stable condition.
It was not immediately clear whether the shooting was gang related.
The cause of the shooting was under investigation.
