A massive crash involving nearly 60 vehicles was reported in central California, just north of Bakersfield, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported at about 8:15 a.m. on Highway 99 near Delano, according to CHP. CHP Public Information Officer Hector Carias said that fog was a factor in the crash. By 2:30 p.m., all lanes were cleared on the freeway and traffic was flowing again.
