An investigation is underway Saturday after police recovered a body off the coast of Palos Verdes Estates.
The discovery was reported around 9:54 a.m. near the 1400 block of Paseo Del Mar, according to Palos Verdes Estates Police.
The body was found at the bottom of a cliff, police said.
LA County Fire and LA County Lifeguards assisted in the recovery effort and hoisted the body from the bottom of the cliff.
Authorities have not identified the body. The cause of death is still unclear.
