A body was found Monday in a car that was impounded last week at a Los Angeles tow yard, according to authorities.
Workers at Hollywood Tow reported a strong odor coming from the vehicle. LAPD officers opened the front trunk and found a body in a bag, police said.
Video from NewsChopper4 showed the vehicle, a Tesla, surrounded by yellow police tape.
The car was impounded after someone reported it was abandoned.
“We were notified this morning and the car’s been here for a couple of days,” said Capt. Robert Peters.
Details about the identity of the person found in the car were not immediately available.
