A man’s body was recovered Friday inside a vehicle that was found partially submerged in a flooded area in Lancaster, authorities said.
An LAFD helicopter first noticed the vehicle around 9:45 a.m. while flying over the flooded area near 58th Street East and Avenue H-10.
The vehicle was not visible from the roadway due to the terrain and significant flooding from the holiday storm, according to the LA County Sheriff’s Department.
The sheriff’s department and the LAFD were able to locate the vehicle and discover the deceased man inside.
The identity and cause of death will be released at a later time pending an investigation from the LA County Coroner, according to LASD.
