A body was discovered Saturday near an on-ramp to the Ventura (101) Freeway in Encino, authorities said.
The discovery was made at about 6:50 a.m. Saturday at the White Oak Avenue on-ramp to the eastbound freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The on-ramp was shut down at 6:53 a.m.
A representative from the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner was dispatched to the scene at 7:33 a.m.
The CHP and the Los Angeles Police Department were at the scene as well.
No further information was immediately available.
