
A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Thursday after fatally striking a man in a crosswalk in downtown Los Angeles.
The 37-year-old victim was crossing in the crosswalk at about 2 a.m. at 9th Street and Towne Avenue when he was hit by the driver of a Nissan Kicks, the LAPD told NBC4 Investigates. The 22-year-old driver stopped and called for help.
He was arrested at the scene on suspicion of DUI.
The victim died at the scene. Details about his identity were not immediately available.
