A driver is in custody following a pursuit through the Antelope Valley Monday afternoon.
Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were chasing a white vehicle before the California Highway Patrol took over.
According to LASD, the pursuit began in Palmdale at around 1 p.m. after authorities said the driver assaulted a deputy.
The chase came to an end on Soledad Canyon Road and Shadow Pines Road near the 14 Freeway.
The driver was taken into custody while a passenger was in the car.
