A driver died after his or her truck collided with a Metrolink train In Camarillo Thursday afternoon, Ventura County fire officials said.
The crash happened on Las Posas Road near 5th Street near a railroad crossing, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.
The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no one else inside the truck.
The identity, age and gender of the deceased were not immediately available.
The train had 16 people aboard, including two crew members. None of them were injured, Ventura County officials confirmed.
Investigators with the California Highway Patrol are investigating the cause of the crash.
