An elderly West Hills man desperately searching for his lost dog is enlisting the public’s help in locating his furry best friend.

Norm, 93, has been searching for his dog, Sunny, ever since she went missing while he was running an errand. Unable to find his pooch on his own, Norm reached out to nonprofit Dog Days Search & Rescue in hopes of being reunited with his beloved pet.

According to the organization, Norm traveled on his motorized scooter from Jason Avenue and Schoenborn Street to a grocery store about a mile away over the weekend. After returning home from his errand, Norm learned his dog was missing.

Determined to find his beloved dog, Norm has combed the streets of his community on scooter looking for her. He also visited his nearest animal shelter in hopes her microchip had been detected.

Sunny, a 7-year-old Labrador retriever, was adopted as a puppy. According to the nonprofit, she was “extreme separation anxiety when away from Norm.” A flyer about Sunny’s disappearance urges the public to not chase her.

Anyone who has seen Sunny is asked to contact 805-405-9485.
