Evacuation orders were issued for high-risk properties near recent wildfire burn areas in Los Angeles County due to the threat of flooding and debris flows from a mid-November storm.

The mandatory evacuation orders were for “select vulnerable properties,” the city said Friday morning. The order will begin at 8 p.m. Friday and remain in effect until 8 a.m. Sunday.

Los Angeles police will contact residents under the select evacuation orders.

Evacuation warnings and targeted evacuation orders were issued for the following areas. The warnings will be in effect until 8 p.m., when the targeted evacuation orders begin.

  • Canyon
  • Bethany
  • Eaton
  • Palisades
  • Hurst
  • Kenneth
  • Sunset
  • Lidia
  • Franklin

Evacuation warnings also were issued Friday for parts of Ventura County.

The storm brought scattered showers to Los Angeles County overnight and into Friday morning. A second wave set to arrive overnight and into Saturday is expected to produce heavier rainfall that could trigger flooding and debris flows.

A steady stream of moisture is in the forecast. Kelley Moody has the forecast for Friday Nov. 14, 2025 on Today in LA.
