
Firefighters responded to reports of an engine fire Monday morning on a United Airlines plane that landed at Los Angeles International Airport.
United Airlines flight 2127 departed from LAX just after 10 a.m. for Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. The plane returned to LAX, where it was met by fire crews.
“LAFD crews have confirmed United flight #2127 has landed safely and is clear of all passengers and crew members following reported engine problems,” the LAFD said.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
All passengers exited the plane and were transferred to buses.
Departures to Los Angeles International were grounded due to the aircraft emergency.
