Former USC and New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was hospitalized following an unspecified injury in Indianapolis, Fox Sports said in a statement.

Sanchez, who is a commentator for Fox Sports, is described as being in stable condition, according to the network. It did not specify what injuries the athlete suffered or how he got them.

“We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support,” the network’s statement read. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time.”

Sanchez’s alma mater and his former NFL team issued statements wishing him a swift recovery.

“The USC football community sends our support to Mark and his family,” USC Football said in a post on social media.

“Sending our thoughts and love to Mark Sanchez and his family,” the Jets said in its statement. “Hoping for a speedy recovery, 6.”
