
Homicide detectives on Saturday were investigating a shooting that stemmed from a fight at a Halloween party in Santa Clarita that left one man dead and another critically wounded.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded at 11:24 p.m. Friday to the 25000 block of De Wolfe Road in Gavin Canyon regarding a shooting, according to Lt. Michael Modica.
Investigators learned that the shooting stemmed from a fight that took place at a Halloween party in the area, where two men were last seen running away from the location in an unknown direction.
Deputies arriving at the scene located a man in his 30s suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies also found a wounded 27-year-old man, who was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
