A hazardous material crew was responding Wednesday to a report of a strange odor emanating near a departure gate at LAX.
The smell was coming from a fire control room adjacent to Gate 64A, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
At least one person with difficulty breathing self-transported to a local hospital, the LAFD said.
It’s unclear what the cause of the smell is.
