A person posing as a delivery driver orchestrated a home invasion robbery at a Brentwood home on Wednesday after asking the homeowner for water, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The robbery was reported around 3:30 p.m. at a home on Walther Way, LAPD said. Law enforcement did not say what was taken from the home or if any injuries occurred.
Following the home invasion, police officers spotted a vehicle believed to be related to the robbery and a pursuit ensued. The chase ended when the vehicle crashed, prompting the two occupants in the vehicle to flee on foot near Kenter Avenue and Bonhill Road.
One of those individuals was taken into custody and the other remains outstanding.
