Los Angeles police responded to the Porter Ranch home of actor-producer and former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Garcelle Beauvais Sunday night after what appears to be a swatting call, the agency told NBC4 Investigates.
Officers arrived at the home northwest of Los Angeles with lights and sirens activated after a caller claimed shots were fired and that an ex-boyfriend was in the home with a shotgun. Officers searched the house and found no evidence of a shooting or crime at the residence.
It was not immediately clear whether the 59-year-old “Coming to America” and “NYPD Blue” actor was home at the time.
Swatting involves a prank call to emergency responders that can lead to the dispatch of law enforcement officers.
NBCLA has reached out to a representative of Beauvais’ for comment.
