A pursuit on streets and freeways in downtown Los Angeles ended with a rear-end collision Wednesday in Montecito Heights.
The driver, possibly in a stolen car, smacked into the rear of a SUV stopped in slow traffic in the community northeast of downtown LA. The driver reversed and appeared to drive toward a gap between the SUV and patrol SUV, but several more police SUVs pulled up behind and alongside the car.
At least three people, the driver an two people in the back seat, were taken into custody.
Details about the car theft that led to the chase were not immediately available.
