Temperatures will run about 10 degrees above normal for the last week of October with a heat advisory in effect for parts of Southern California.

Expect a significant rise in temperatures starting Tuesday, when the heat advisory begins at 10 a.m. for most of the region with the exceptions in the mountains and deserts. The advisory will continue through 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Warm weather is in the forecast throughout the week with the peak of the heat on Tuesday and Wednesday, when highs will reach the upper 80s and mid-90s.

Offshore winds will gust between 30 to 45 mph.

“We’re going to have some gusty Santa Ana winds,” said NBCLA meteorologist Belen De Leon. “That’s one of the reasons why out temperatures are going to be boosting up.”

The warm stretch comes as the World Series shifts from Toronto to Los Angeles for games 3, 4 and 5. The temperatures at first pitch Monday will be 72 degrees with temperatures of 88 and 86 at the starts of game 4 and 5.

Looking ahead to the weekend, expect temperatures in the low 80s for the LA basin and inland Orange County and mid-80s for the valleys.
