
Police are investigating after a man was possibly stabbed Saturday aboard a Metro bus in South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The violence was reported just before 4 p.m. on a Line 204 bus near Vermont Avenue and 29th Street, police said. While on the bus, two passengers were involved in some sort of confrontation.
Upon arrival, officers found a man with injuries consistent with a stabbing or slashing, the department said. The victim was hospitalized with wounds that were described as non-life threatening.
“Metro extends its wishes for a speedy recovery to the victim and thanks LAPD and LAFD for their quick response,” the transportation agency said in a statement.
Law enforcement is searching for the man who injured the victim. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and blue shirt.
