The Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Division says it was conducting a large operation Friday targeting criminal activity in San Pedro.
The LAPD was collaborating with several federal agencies, including the U.S. Marshals, who were the primary agency of the operation.
Multiple locations connected to criminal activity in the area were targeted, according to police.
“This is tied to criminal activity & is in no way immigration related,” wrote LAPD Captain Brent McGuyre.
Details on who the operation was targeting were not immediately available.
