A Los Angeles-bound United flight made an emergency detour after its windshield cracked mid-travel, the airline said.
Flight UA1093 from Denver to Los Angeles International Airport was able to land safely in Salt Lake City on Thursday following the crack. It’s unclear what caused the incident.
According to the airline, the plane was a Boeing 737 Max 8 that was carrying a total of 140 occupants, including crew members. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said the windshield was taken to its laboratories for examination.
