Raise a glass — six new bar and lounge concepts will debut in Anaheim next year in the heart of a new entertainment development taking shape near the Honda Center.
OCVIBE, the 100-acre development currently under construction, recently announced its buzzy additions. The new bars and lounges will be housed inside Katella Commons, the district’s 50,000-square-foot, two-story market hall set to open in early 2027.
6 bars and lounges coming to ‘Katella Commons’ in Anaheim in 2027
Here’s what’s coming, according to a press release:
- Bar Bacchia: A “moody tasting bar” that’s set to feature curated wines and pop-up tasting events.
- Vesper Lounge: A cocktail bar focused on gin, martinis, spritzes, and botanical spirits, “shaped by Japanese and Scandinavian design.”
- Barrel Bar: Spritzes, classic cocktails, beer, wine, and small bites await at this modern European cafe-style spot.
- Rea’s Ranch: This beer garden concept “with California desert character” will feature draft beers, natural wines, and coffee service during the day. Fun fact: This spot’s name is a nod to late 1800s Katella Avenue settler John Rea, who named his Katella Ranch by combining the names of his two daughters, Kate and Ella Rea.
- “The social heart of Katella Commons”: This lush green, yet-to-be-named gathering space will offer cocktails and frozen drinks.
- “Glamour meets maximalism pavilion”: This high-energy space — inspired by late ‘70s glam and early ‘80s “maximalism” — will offer Instagram-worthy cocktails and a “lively, social atmosphere.”
The bars and lounges will be designed to give patrons options depending on what kind of outing they’re looking for, whether that’s a quiet glass of wine or a more social experience.
Other features coming to Katella Commons
As previously announced, Katella Commons will also feature 21 food stalls and a culinary program led by seasoned Chef Rémi Lauvand. Variety will be key here.
“Everybody can find their little niche and be comfortable,” said Lauvand.
Lauvand, who hails from France but now lives in Los Angeles, is known for his expertise on food science and deep knowledge of the hospitality industry.
“People today care deeply about how their food and drinks are made,” said Lauvand in a press release. “They want to understand ingredients, sourcing, and technique, and they’re excited to ask questions and try things themselves.”

What is OCVIBE?
The privately funded OCVIBE district aims to turn 100 acres of the area surrounding the Honda Center in Anaheim into a walkable, year-round entertainment destination.
The district’s first phase, set to open to the public in early 2027, will include Katella Commons, a public plaza, a concert hall, and new offices at The Weave mixed-use development.
The district also plans to add 20 acres of open space, three miles of connected walking trails, three entertainment venues, and housing.
The full project is expected to be completed in 2033.
