Deputies arrested a man on Friday accused of recording people while they were changing clothes inside a Target store’s fitting rooms in Thousand Oaks.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said they obtained video footage of the man inside the retail store located in the 2700 block of Teller Road.

On June 5, a patrol deputy responded to the Thousand Oaks Target store after a victim spotted a cellphone camera hanging over the wall of the dressing room. The suspect retreated after the victim yelled out, deputies said.

The man went to the store on three separate occasions based on cell phone data, according to deputies.

Deputies identified the suspect as 25-year-old Jack Crawford, a Thousand Oaks resident. The Sheriff’s Office said Crawford filmed at least eight different women.

Crawford has been arrested on eight counts of invasion of privacy.

Investigators believe there may be more victims. Anyone with information regarding the investigation is urged to contact Detective Nicole Adrianzen at 805-494-8229.
