
A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with an assault that occurred during a concert at the Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena police said Thursday.
Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 16 to a report of an assault in one of the stadium’s seating areas. Investigators from the Pasadena Police Department said three people were assaulted by a man who allegedly became agitated after a drink was spilled
With the help of video footage and numerous public tips, detectives identified the suspect as Julio Cesar Lopez Zavala of Hawthorne.
Zavala was taken into custody on Aug. 21 in Hawthorne, according to police.
Formal charges are pending review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Playing at the Rose Bowl that evening was Rüfüs Du Sol, an electronic music group. Saturday’s show was the final stop on their North American Tour.
