
A Santa Monica police motor officer was injured Thursday following a crash on the 405 Freeway that snarled traffic in North Hills.
The off-duty officer was on his way back home on his department motorcycle when the crash happened near the Roscoe Boulevard exit, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
Details on what led up to the crash were not immediately available.
The officer sustained minor injuries and is expected to fully recover, police said.
All lanes of the southbound 405 Freeway were shut down during the investigation.
