More than 5 million people have registered for a ticket draw amid a record-setting surge of interest, Organizers of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and Paralympics announced Monday.

With more than three weeks remaining until registration closes on March 18, LA28, the Olympic organizing committee, has averaged 100,000 new daily registrations and received more than 1.5 million sign-ups within the first 24 hours.

LA28 said residents from all 50 states have registered, along with interest from 194 countries.

Those registered for the first draw will be notified via email about time slots between March 31 and April 7.

For people in Southern California and Oklahoma, where some of the competitions will take place, will be notified of an assigned time slot between April 2 and 6.

Fans only need to register once to be entered for future ticket draws.

LA28 will feature 51 sports across more than 50 competition venues, and registrants selected will be able to purchase up to 12 tickets starting at $28.

Ticket sales for the Paralympic Games will begin in 2027.

Fans interested in volunteering at the games can show interest by visiting the LA28 Volunteer Program page. Officials said applications for Games-time volunteer roles will open later this year.
