Police put an end to a snail-paced pursuit with a PIT maneuver on Monday in Los Feliz.
NewsChopper4 followed along as officers tried to yield a driver traveling at slow speeds around East Hollywood and Los Feliz. Although the driver wasn’t traveling recklessly, they had a close call with a pedestrian crossing a street at some point.
The driver ran over a spike strip during the chase and dragged it for a considerable amount of time. Thanks to the slow driving, police were able to successfully execute a PIT maneuver near Los Feliz Boulevard and Serrano Avenue, disabling the vehicle.
Shortly after, the driver surrendered to police. That individual’s name was not released. It’s unclear what charges they may face.
