A motorcyclist who enjoys speed along Southern California roadways got a lucky break Friday.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol Friday let the motorist go after initially spotting a couple of fast-traveling bikes in the El Monte area at around 9 p.m.

While one of the bikes got away, another motorist traveled as fast as 100 miles per hour at one point, quickly making his or her way into Alhambra.

The motorcyclist at one point went into a parking structure to evade police.

The CHP decided to let the speeding motorist go as the bike was last seen near the 110 Freeway.
