Although no one won the massive billion-dollar Powerball jackpot, one lucky player in the San Fernando Valley won more than $1 million, the lottery announced on Monday.
A ticket worth $1.3 million was sold at a Sherman Oaks gas station, Powerball announced. The lucky ticket matched the first five numbers of Monday’s drawing and was sold at the 76 gas station on 14478 Ventura Boulevard.
The winning numbers for Monday’s drawing were 25, 23, 8, 40, 53 and 5 (red ball) with a Powerball multiplier of 3x.
Since the Powerball has yet to yield a winner, the jackpot climbed to an estimated $1.3 billion for the next drawing, which is scheduled for Wednesday.
