
The pursuit of a stolen tractor trailer Wednesday morning started in the Fontana area, crossed through LA County and into Orange County.
The pursuit began at around 9:30 a.m. on Palmetto Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in Fontana.
The driver continued through the 60 and 57 freeways heading into Brea.
The chase continued through Orange County, passing by the Cal State Fullerton campus.
According to the Fontana Police Department, the vehicle may be stolen and could possibly be tied to a kidnapping.
Police said a passenger tried calling 911, saying that the driver was not letting them out of the vehicle, but the call was disconnected.
At one point in the pursuit the driver was seen opening the door, and what appeared to be a water bottle fell out of the vehicle.
The pursuit then continued through the Orange County area.
While driving through Garden Grove on Commonwealth Avenue, the trailer was struck by a BearCat.
The pursuit came to an end on the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Franklin Street where the driver was cornered by the police BearCat and other patrol vehicles.
The driver came out of the vehicle with their hands up and was taken into custody. The passenger also exited the trailer.
