Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department Tuesday asked for the public’s help in finding a driver who struck and injured a bicyclist in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles In May.

Police said the unnamed victim, 64, was hit at around 3:15 a.m. on May 28 on Hoover Street near 20th Street, the LAPD said.

Video footage released by police shows a white sedan was making a left turn onto Hoover Street and collided with the bicyclist head on. Police said the car continued west on 20th Street toward the 10 Freeway west on-ramp.

The bicyclist was taken to a hospital where he was treated for severe injuries.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run collision should contact the LAPD’s West Traffic Division at 213-473-0216 to speak with Detective Holmes.
