The float designed by artist John Ramirez will be built by Artistic Entertainment Services. It will travel at about 2.5 mph Jan. 1 along the 5 1/2-mile Tournament of Roses Parade route in Pasadena.
The 2026 parade theme is “The Magic in Teamwork.”
“Star Trek” actors will be position on the float, but it was not immediately clear who will be part of the parade.
The upcoming series “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” is set for Paramount+ streaming service release in early 2026. The New Year’s Day parade float also will feature a depiction of the new Starfleet Academy campus.
