A man was killed and a woman was injured in a shooting in Sylmar Thursday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The shooting was reported at the 14600 block of Rex Street shortly after 7 a.m.
The victims were described as a man and a woman in their 50s. The man was reported to have died and the woman is in grave condition, according to authorities.
According to LAPD, the suspected gunman is in custody and the motive for the shooting is not yet known.
