Sparks flew from a pickup truck that was being chased by law enforcement in the San Fernando Valley on Tuesday.

Police were chasing a possibly stolen pickup truck in the Palmdale area that led them to the valley. The pursuit began around 9:16 p.m. and ended just before 10:30 p.m. when the driver surrendered in North Hills.

Shortly after sparks flew from the back of the vehicle while traveling on the 405 Freeway, the driver exited onto Roscoe Boulevard and surrendered to authorities. It’s unclear how law enforcement determined the vehicle was stolen.

Police have not released the driver’s name, nor did they specify what charges that individual could face.
