A man asked a Glendale streetwear store manager to check on a shoe size before racing out of the business Friday night in the Kenneth Village area with about $10,000 worth of merchandise.
Security camera video showed the man speaking with the manager before leaving the store and appearing to enter a car in the parking lot.
The man asked whether a shoe in a certain size was available, then left with the high-end streetwear when the manager went to the back of the store to check.
“It sucks when it’s a small business that’s being messed with,” said store manager Anthony Montes. “It’s literally just me and the owner working to make it happen. It’ll definitely hurt us, but it’s nothing that we can’t move forward from.”
No arrests were reported Sunday. Montes said a police report was filed in an effort to find the thief.
