
At least one person was injured after police opened fire during a traffic stop in the Fashion District of downtown Los Angeles early Friday.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department were conducting a traffic stop on 8th Street and Gladys Avenue shortly before 3:30 p.m.
According to LAPD, the car was stolen and the passenger in the vehicle had a gun.
At some point a shooting ensued, but it was not clear what led up to the shooting.
At least one person was shot in the stomach and rushed to the hospital. No officers were injured in the incident.
