
What to Know
- Heavy snow has scrambled today’s Winter Olympics schedule in Livigno. The women’s snowboard slopestyle medal event and the women’s and men’s freestyle skiing aerials qualifiers were all scrubbed off the schedule.
- Both the men and women compete for medals this morning in speed skating team pursuit. The U.S. set the world record for men’s team pursuit in November and took home a bronze from the 2022 Beijing Games.
- U.S. figure skaters Amber Glenn, Alysa Liu and Isabeau Levito start their charge for individual medals today with the women’s short program starting at 12:45 p.m. ET.
- The U.S. is seeking its first medal in two-man bobsled (1 p.m. ET) since 2014 with Olympic flag bearer Frank del Duca and Josh Williamson, who sit in fourth after the first two runs.
- Mac Forehand of the U.S. had the best qualifying score ahead of today’s big air final at 1:30 p.m. ET, and he’ll face off with skiers including Birk Ruud of Norway, who already won gold in ski slopestyle and is seeking a second in big air.
- The U.S. men’s hockey team will learn its quarterfinal opponent today as the playoff qualifiers take place. The playoff qualifiers determine the final four spots in the quarterfinals.
